Marina Assistant Manager

Dockside Landing Marina is hiring a Marina Assistant Manager to join our team on beautiful, scenic Northern Lake George.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as front desk representative for marina rental and service operations, managing phone, email, and website interactions
• Support the Marina General Manager as backup in daily marina operations
• Coordinate and oversee boat rentals, service and maintenance, gas operations, and retail activities
• Supervise seasonal dock staff, rental fleet services, boat checkout/check-in, and gas pump service
• Assist with spring boat launch and fall boat winterization service activities

Required Qualifications:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Proactive, motivated self-starter with a focus on continuous process improvement
• Customer-focused mindset with drive to exceed expectations
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
• Reliable and consistent with ability to rise to occasions when needed
• Service industry experience (retail, rental, marina, or automotive)
• Proficiency in computer software including retail/inventory systems, service management tools, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

• Marina or automotive service desk experience
• Background in rental, hospitality, booking, or reservation management
• Experience coordinating service/inventory management using reservation systems

Marine Mechanic

Dockside Landing Marina is hiring a Marine Mechanic to join our team on beautiful, scenic Northern Lake George.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard and outboard marine engines.
• Perform routine boat maintenance services, oil changes, tune-ups, winter/spring services.
• Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
• Conduct engine installations, removals, and replacements.
• Inspect and maintain boat propulsion systems, drives, and propellers.
• Maintain accurate service records, is organized with attention detail/quality.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-5 years work experience as a marine mechanic.
• Valid driver's license, clean record, ability to drive trailers, launch boats.
• Knowledge of marine engines: Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Volvo Penta, MerCruiser
• Ability to lift fifty pounds, work in tight areas, under various weather conditions.
• Experience with marine electrical systems and diagnostics
• Read technical manuals, utilize diagnostic tools & marine equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Marine technician certification from manufacturer or vocational school
